Area entrepreneurs, economic development organizations, local government leaders and individuals interested in entrepreneurship are invited to participate in a listening session hosted by Marion County Development at Peace Tree Brewing Company on Thursday, March 31 starting at 8 a.m. This listening session is part of several sessions held throughout Iowa, Missouri, Kansas and Nebraska to gain an understanding of the barriers, opportunities and challenges with entrepreneurship in rural areas. The session is called HEARTLAND TOGETHER. Through gaining this insight, the Kauffman Foundation is working toward a pilot program to address items identified and grow prosperity in rural America through entrepreneurship.
Heartland Together is a partnership formed by The Kansas Leadership Center and the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation to foster local business entrepreneur prosperity in the heartland of America.
