Working in Marion County
The best part of working in Marion County are the big city amenities with a small
town feel. The best part of being employed at PHS is the opportunity to interact with the
students in their extra curricular activities, getting to know the families and my coworkers are
very inspiring, as they guide the students into their future through academics and activities.

Living in Marion County
The best part of living in Marion County are the opportunities it provides -from shopping, dining
and recreation. I have the opportunity to take a hike, run or bike the trails, play at the parks with
my children, shop downtown or eat a bite at the newest local restaurant or an old family favorite.

Favorite Place to Relax
When I am not working, you can find me outside taking in a sporting event or a community activity

Career Opportunities
Students can go from the PHS Career Academy, to an internship, to industrial or corporate arenas. The worksmart connector and the Career Academy have been a huge benefit to Marion County where we have a lot of industrial and corporate opportunities.

Community Favorites
Some of my favorite amenities are Lake Red Rock, Central Park and the variety of restaurants. Some of my favorite events are, of course, Tulip Time, Thursdays in Pella, Balloon Fest and Kerstmarkt.

Career Advice to Teens
If a student wanted to become an activities assistant, I would tell them they need to be organized, be able to multitask and provide a welcoming environment for students and their families at events.

Mentor
My Dad has always been my biggest supporter and sounding board

What is your wish for the Red Rock Area?
My biggest wish for Marion county is that we continue to collaborate with city government and community members to make our county the best it can be to live, work and play. Also that we constantly push forward with innovative ideas, while preserving our history.

What is your biggest passion, and why?
My greatest passion is to serve others and make meaningful relationships along the way.

3 Hobbies
Spending time with family and friends b. Exercising-running, biking, playing soccer c. Traveling to enjoy festivals, small town restaurants or nature trails
