Working in Marion County
Having grown up in Marion County, it is always fun to teach dancers of families I grew up with. You see things come full circle living in a small town and I love to see it happen. It is also nice to work alongside fellow business owners to better our community and county!

Favorite Place to Relax
Our family loves Lake Red Rock and Knoxville Raceway. We camp all summer, we go racing every week, you will find us boating on the lake when we are not at the dance studio. Winter is our busy season so we enjoy spending time with friends and family at home during our downtime

Career Opportunities
We are at a unique time for professional development if you are just getting started or wanting to advance your career. We are fortunate to have several major employers in Knoxville; 3M, Weiler, Hormel, and Knoxville Hospital and Clinics and there are a vast number of openings available right now. In addition, we have many unique business succession opportunities in Many areas.

Community Favorites
Lake Red Rock, Knoxville Raceway, our beautiful trails and parks. Not to mention our small town personality and “Iowa Nice” all around. It’s comforting living in a place where people know you and your family. They really do watch out for you!

Career Advice to Teens
n addition to having a dance background, you need to be able to communicate with kids of all ages. I personally think that my education background has been a huge asset. If you want to open a dance studio, you also need to have a business background and know how to run the business side as well. It is also extremely important to have the physical ability to run one, some days it is physically and mentally exhausting but so worth it!

Mentor
Pat Nichols, my grandmother
